WHAT IT CAN LOOK LIKE

When anxiety or depression is more than a hard stretch

Anxiety, low mood and the work of bracing for other people's reactions can build quietly, until they shape most of the week.

In your head
  • Anxiety that doesn't switch off
  • Rehearsing how people will react
  • Low mood that lingers for weeks
Around people
  • Editing yourself to stay safe
  • Bracing for the next comment
  • Pulling back from friends
At night
  • Sleep that won't settle
  • Replaying the day's moments
  • Feeling alone with all of it

Is this an LGBTQ+-specific program?

It is the same outpatient program everyone attends, and LGBTQ+ adults are welcome in it. There is no separate LGBTQ+ track or group. You join mixed groups of eight to twelve adults, with your own therapist and psychiatry in one plan, and nobody is treated as an exception.

Will my name and pronouns be used?

Yes. Tell us the name and pronouns you use at your pre-assessment, and that is what your clinicians use, in group and in individual sessions. If your legal name is different, it may still need to appear on insurance and billing records, and admissions can walk you through where.

What if someone in group says something hurtful?

Tell your therapist, during group or after it. A clinician leads every session and expects respect in the room, and a comment that lands badly gets addressed rather than ignored. Your individual session is also a private place to talk through anything that happened in group.

Is what I share kept confidential?

What you share stays with you and your care team. Nothing about your care, including your identity, goes to an employer, family member or anyone else without your written authorization, except in the limited situations the law requires. Our privacy notice sets those out in full.

Read our privacy practices
Can my partner or chosen family be involved?

Yes, if you want them to be. Family support and education is included at no extra cost, and you decide who counts as family, whether that is a partner, close friends or relatives. Nobody is contacted or involved in your care without your written authorization.

Do I need a diagnosis to start?

You don't need any diagnosis to start. The free pre-assessment looks at what is going on now, whether that is anxiety, depression, trauma or something harder to name, and recommends the level of care that fits. If a different kind of care would suit you better, we will tell you honestly and help you find it.

What conditions do you treat?

Depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, adult ADHD and other mental health conditions in adults. Many people come in with more than one. The pre-assessment works out what is going on and whether this program fits, and if substance use is the main concern, we point you to the right care.
