A mental health condition and substance use at the same time, such as depression alongside heavy drinking, or anxiety alongside regular cannabis use. It is sometimes called a dual diagnosis. Each tends to affect the other, which is why we treat them together rather than one at a time.

We are a mental health program that also addresses substance use. Care is built around depression, anxiety, trauma or another mental health condition, with substance use treated alongside it. If substance use becomes the main concern, your care continues at Red Rock Recovery Center, so you don't have to start over.

We talk about it openly, without judgment, and look at what has changed. If substance use becomes the main concern, your care moves to Red Rock Recovery Center, our partner program, so you don't start over. Your history and what has already helped go with you, and the move is planned together.

It depends on where you are, and it is worth asking rather than assuming. The free pre-assessment looks at your mental health, your substance use and the support you need right now, then recommends the right level of care. If that isn't us yet, we help you find the next step.

You keep your existing prescriptions. Our psychiatric team reviews what you take, including how it interacts with any alcohol or drugs you use, and coordinates with your outside prescriber. Nothing changes without a conversation with you first, and any adjustment is discussed openly and decided together.

We accept Colorado Access, Cigna, Anthem, BCBS PPO, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Tricare West and Kaiser Medicaid. Medicare isn't one of the plans we can accept. What you pay depends on your specific plan, so the quickest way to know is a free insurance check before you start, with no obligation.
